Lifts
Please use the lifts sensibly. They are primarily for residents to reach their homes.
Safety
- Children below 8 must not ride unsupervised.
- Pets must be on a leash in lifts.
- Ask the manager or security supervisor before using a lift for anything other than carrying people.
- If the lift will carry goods during construction or moving work, ask the housekeeping staff to be present while it is loaded.
- Every lift has an intercom that can call any flat, the gates or the office. See Lift emergencies.
Items you can carry
- Anything you can carry by hand that fits the lift comfortably
- Small packets of potting soil and small planters
- Electronics such as microwaves and TVs
- Window ACs, as long as they do not rest on the lift floor
- Prams and baby tricycles
- Luggage and suitcases
A trolley is available at the society office to help carry items to your home. Please keep its size in mind.
Items not allowed
- Large planters and grown trees
- Construction material, including cement, sand, rubble and debris, unless it is in packed and sealed bags. Before loading sealed bags, lay cloth or newspaper on the lift floor.
- Painting material
- Washing machines and refrigerators
- Wooden boards and planks for furniture
- Furniture such as sofas, cupboards, armchairs, dining tables, cabinets and beds
- Mattresses
- Glass in any form (table tops, dressing-table glass and so on)
- Split ACs with compressor units
- Corrosive and hazardous material such as batteries and acids
- Tile and marble polishing equipment
- Large bicycles
- Any other large, heavy items
